I’ve been trying to get back into reading this year, so I spent some time looking through book blogs, reader discussions, and review sites to find books that people are actually recommending. I didn’t want random lists, just books that readers really enjoyed.
A few that kept showing up were Atomic Habits if you’re into building better routines, The Psychology of Money for understanding money in a simple way, Project Hail Mary if you like sci-fi, and The Midnight Library for something more thoughtful. I also noticed many people recommending newer 2026 releases, but I usually wait until enough readers have shared their opinions before buying.
One thing that helped me was checking review sites instead of relying on social media hype. I found Goodreads useful for seeing what everyday readers think, and Book Riot has some nice recommendation lists too.
